Celebrate 50 Years With N.H. Lottery

March 12, 2014 – Fifty years ago today, the New Hampshire Lottery sold its first Sweepstakes tickets and, as the Lottery’s own history puts it, “the benefits to New Hampshire schools began”

Now, players can help celebrate the Lottery’s 50th birthday by playing the Lottery’s newest scratch-off game and entering into a special promotional giveaway that will award a $50,000 top prize.

The Lottery’s new scratch-off game is a $25 game called Granite Millions, which features a top prize worth $2 million.  There are three of those top prizes, the highest ever offered on a New Hampshire Lottery scratch-off.

Winners who score one of the top prizes will have their choice of $80,000 per year for 25 years, or a cash option worth $1.35 million.

Along with the $2 million top prize, Granite Millions also offers players a chance to win one of nine $50,000 prizes.  Five of those prizes are paid out in $5,000 increments over 10 weeks, while the other four are $50,000 instant prizes.

There is more than $26.2 million in total prize money to be won on the game, and there are 26 ways that players can win a prize.

Adding to the 50th birthday opportunities for New Hampshire Lottery players is a promotional giveaway through which the Lottery will give away a single $50,000 prize.

To enter, players must simply enter their name, address and contact information through the Lottery’s website.  The drawing for the $50,000 prize will be held in mid-September, and more details will be available on nhlottery.com soon
