Free Megabucks Tickets with Oregon Raffle

Oct. 10, 2014 –  The Oregon Lottery is giving away free tickets on Fridays in October, hurry up and get one! OK, they’re not just giving away free tickets.  Instead, the Lottery is celebrating Fridays this month with a special buy one get one offer. Players who purchase one of the Lottery’s Halloween Raffle tickets today, next Friday, or on Friday the 24th will receive along with it a free $1 Oregon’s Game Megabucks ticket. To get one of the free Megabucks tickets, you’ve got to pick up your Raffle ticket between 5 and 7 p.m.  Tickets for this year’s Halloween Raffle each cost $10 each, but offer players the best odds of winning $1 million. Along with your Raffle ticket, you’ll get a Megabucks ticket with two lines of numbers.  The Megabucks jackpot hasn’t been won since April, and it’s grown to more than $11 million in that time. The buy-one-get-one offer will end if Halloween Raffle tickets sell out before Friday the 24th, so play it safe.  Wouldn’t want to miss your chance, would you?   Photo Credit: Randy Heintz. Licensed under Creative Commons Attribution Generic 2.0  There are only 21 days left to purchase Halloween Raffle tickets, and already more than 150,000 of the 250,000 total tickets have been sold. That leaves about 93,000 tickets today, and while that might sound like a lot, Raffle tickets sell fast.  All 13 previous Raffles have sold out well ahead of the drawing, so there’s a good chance the buy-one-get-one offer isn’t on the table for...

Oregon Lottery’s Halloween Raffle On Sale

Sept. 2, 2014 – Just over a week ago the Oregon Lottery began selling tickets for their ever-popular Halloween Raffle.  Players have 59 days left to pick up a ticket, but don’t expect tickets to still be available near the end of that two-month window. This will be the fourteenth Raffle the lottery has held over the years, and all 13 previous raffles have sold out well ahead of the sales deadline. This year’s Halloween Raffle has more to offer for players as well.  The Oregon Lottery has added 800 prizes to the prize pool. The grand prize in this year’s Raffle is still a single $1 million prize.  The Halloween Raffle offers players the best odds, out of any of the Oregon Lottery’s games, of winning the $1 million prize: 1 in just 250,000. Along with the $1 million grand prize winner, 300 lucky Raffle players will score this year’s $500 second prize, and 1,500 more Raffle players will win $100 third prizes. Although the Lottery added 800 more prizes to this year’s Halloween Raffle, they’ll still only be selling 250,000 tickets.  That means the overall odds of winning a prize – about 1 in 138 – are better than every before. That also means more people might be rushing to pick up their tickets.  Halloween Raffle tickets cost $10 and can be found at any Oregon Lottery retailer, until they sell out. Don’t waste any time!  The tickets have already been on sale for more than a week, and while 60 days may sound like plenty of time, these tickets will go...

St. Patrick’s Day Raffle Nearly Sold Out

Feb. 18, 2014 – The Oregon Lottery’s St. Patrick’s Day Raffle drawing is less than a month away, but it doesn’t look like the ticket supply will last that long. Since sales for the Raffle opened early in January, almost 200,000 of the 250,000 tickets have already been sold.  There are only about 62,000 tickets remaining. The St. Patrick’s Day Raffle offers Oregon Lottery players the best odds of any game for winning $1 million.  With just 250,000 tickets printed, those odds are 1 in 250,000. Along with the lone $1 million top prize, there will also be 10 prizes worth $20,000 awarded, and another 1,000 winners will score $100 prizes. Each St. Patrick’s Day Raffle ticket costs $10, and they can be found at any of the lottery’s retailers.  The drawing will be held St. Patrick’s Day, March 17. Players who want a chance at the $1 million top prize should act quickly.  All 11 of the Oregon Lottery’s previous Raffle games have sold out well before the drawing, and it looks like the St. Patrick’s Day Raffle will be no different.   Photo Credit: Randy Heintz. St. Patrick’s Day Raffle Tickets Disappearing

Jan. 28, 2014 – It’s been just more than two weeks since the Oregon Lottery began selling tickets for its St. Patrick’s Day Raffle, and already nearly 100,000 of the 250,000 tickets are gone. At this rate, all 250,000 tickets will be sold with weeks to spare ahead of the drawing.  Players shouldn’t be too surprised though, all 11 Raffles the Lottery has held in years past have sold out, and quickly – on average it takes just 26 days for these tickets to disappear. The Raffles are so popular because they offer players the best odds of any of the Lottery’s games at winning a million dollars. Because of the limited number of tickets printed, there are just 1 in 250,000 odds of winning the single $1 million top prize. The game also offers $20,000 second prizes and $100 third prizes.  There are 10 of the $20,000 prizes, meaning the odds of winning a second prize are just one in 25,000. The $100 prizes can be claimed at any of the Lottery’s retailers, and there are plenty to go around.  The St. Patrick’s Day Raffle will award 1,000 of the third prizes, making the odds of winning one just 1-in-250. The winning Raffle numbers will be drawn March 17, St. Patrick’s Day, and players can pick up their prizes as early as the following day, Tuesday, March 18. To keep track of how many tickets are left for the St. Patrick’s Day Raffle, head to the webpage the Oregon Lottery has dedicated to it,...

Oregon’s St. Patrick’s Day Raffle Tickets on Sale

Jan. 16, 2014 – The countdown on the Oregon Lottery’s website reads 59 days until the drawing for the Lottery’s St. Patrick’s Day Raffle, but don’t be surprised if these tickets sell out well before the holiday rolls around. After just five days, nearly 10 percent of the 250,000 Raffle tickets are gone, leaving just more than 225,000 for Oregon Lottery players. That may sound like a lot, but players should keep in mind that every one of the Oregon Lottery’s raffles has sold out before the drawing, and once all 250,000 St. Patrick’s Day tickets are sold, the Lottery won’t be printing any more. These games are so popular because they offer Oregon Lottery players the best odds – out of all the games offered by the Lottery – of winning $1 million. This year’s St. Patrick’s Day Raffle tickets cost $10, and there is just one $1 million top prize to be awarded.  The odds of winning that top prize are just 1 in 250,000. Along with the lucky winner of that $1 million top prize, the Lottery will be making 1,010 other winners feel the luck-o’-the-Irish on St. Patrick’s Day. Ten winners will be awarded $20,000 prizes, and 1,000 more Raffle players will score $100 prizes, which they can pick up at any Lottery retailer. For more information, or to keep an eye on the countdown until St. Patrick’s Day or the number of tickets remaining, head to the Oregon Lottery’s Raffle webpage. These tickets always sell out; according to the Lottery it takes an average of 26 days for Raffle tickets to disappear.  So look around for a four-leaf clover and then get yourself a St. Patrick’s Day Raffle ticket – you can’t win if you don’t...

The Oregon Lottery posted the winning numbers on their website Thursday night.  Players can check their tickets against the winning numbers on the Halloween Raffle website.
