California Lottery is prepared for rise in gambling addiction

California lottery officials are preparing for every outcome even the bad. With the launch of the Powerball lottery in California, California officials are making sure everyone can enjoy the game in a safe and healthy manner. By doing so, officials are ready to help with any and all gambling issues or addictions.

Problem gambling experts are on hand to help those in need surrounding the launch of Powerball in California. Although most who participate in the lottery consider it a harmless inexpensive gamble, others take the game too far. It is for this reason that a small amount of all lottery sales go towards helping gambling addictions. In California alone, the lottery pays $120,000 to help those with gambling addictions.

The California Office of Problem Gambling is ready for a new wave of incoming gambling addictions now that Powerball is in California. The Gambling hotline is available for calls 24-hours a day. The counselors are all trained in crisis management and problem gambling, and provide help and information for anything someone might need, including books, Gambler’s Anonymous meetings and more.

If you or anyone you know may need help with a gambling addiction, please contact The National Council on Problem Gambling.
