Arizona woman claims $1 million prize from May 18 drawing.
One Arizona woman recently claimed a $1 million prize from the Arizona Lottery for the Powerball drawing on May 18.
Valeria Sanchez of Queen Creek, AZ won $1 million from the record jackpot drawing on May 18 with MAtch 5 from Powerball. She is one of three winners to receive $1 million from the drawing and the latest to claim her huge prize.
Sanchez checked all of her tickets on June 8, deciding it was time to look over and see if she had won anything in the recent drawings. Much to her surprise, she saw that she had matched the winning numbers from one of her ten picks. Sanchez’s ticket matched the 5 white balls but was unable to grasp the elusive Powerball, which would’ve given her a share of the record $590.5 million Powerball jackpot.
Sanchez purchased her ticket at a Chevron convenience store along Alma School Road in Chandler, AZ. This Arizona woman is still in shock, but the Arizona Lottery is proud to present her with her winnings and allow her to begin enjoying her winnings.
Sanchez plans to pay off her bills as well as look into purchasing a new car so she ca enjoy her winnings in style. This Arizona woman urges lottery players to check their tickets so that they don’t have to wait to collect their winnings.
