The Arizona Lottery is adjusting their ticket sales cut-offs for Arizona-unique draw games to 6:59pm to Match Powerball and Mega Millions cut-off beginning August 5.
The Arizona Lottery boasts hosting both Mega Millions and Powerball along with 5 Arizona originals. The Pick, Fantasy 5, Weekly Winnings, 2-By-2, and Pick 3 are all draw games offered by the Arizona Lottery. These games give lottery players the chance to purchase their tickets and tune in for drawings at a later time. Arizona Lottery draw games are fun and easy to play for anyone 21 and older.
Beginning August 5 the Arizona Lottery will make it easier for all lottery players to keep track of when they can buy tickets for draw games. The Arizona Lottery is adjusting the cut-off times for their 5 state games to 6:59pm. This is currently the cut-off time for Mega Millions and Powerball ticket sales.
The 6:59pm cut-off time will be in Arizona during daylight savings time, which lasts from the second Sunday in March until the first Saturday in November. Sales will close at 7:59pm Arizona time during the months that are not daylight savings. Since Arizona does not observe daylight savings time, these hours are adjusted to accommodate for the times of Powerball and Mega Millions drawings. Despite the time of year, sales for the next day’s drawings will resume 5 minutes after the cut-off (7:04pm or 8:04pm respectively).
The consistent ticket sales schedule should make it easier for lottery players in Arizona to play and keep up with their favorite games. This will also allow players to check their tickets all at once rather than have to wait for various cut-off times.
